COILLTE REQUESTCoillte have advised that they wish to thank all our trails users for their understanding and patience during the harvesting work in the past number of weeks. While all the walking trails are now open, users are asked to be especially vigilant in the coming weeks while further maintenance and the removal of the Piles of Logs is underway. Do also let us know of any accident potential hazards that you may encounter during your upcoming hikes. See MoreSee Less

TRAILS UPDATEThis is to advise that a section of our trails still has harvested trees lying across the walking paths. This only applies to the 8k and its planned to have them moved in the coming week..A detour via Fairyland, and on via the boardwalk, and up via the Buddhist Centre to the Upper Hills is recommended. You should then make your way back to the carpark via Coillte roads. Anyone desiring a shorter version should go via the 13k and brance back to the carpark via Coillte Roads, this works out at approx 7km in length The 13k is fully operational at this time. See the jagged section on the map which represents the Blue Trail section that is to be avoided See MoreSee Less

Safety NoticeOnce again we must remind anyone using this facility this week- end must be extremely carfeul on the section leading past Dysart Lyons heritage site right up to Mass Place road on theBlue trail this week end. You will note from the image that this trail has logs acros it so good fitness is required to get throug it. Families with young children are advised to give this section a skip or leave your hike until the following weeke as a good level of fitness is required to avoid an accident. Again our humblest apologied for the disappointment. Hopefully we will be back to normal next week end. See MoreSee Less
