TREE HARVESTINGCoillte have now started harvesting the area adjacent to our Red and Blue trails leading to Fairyland. This harvesting will continue for the next few weeks taking in our trails from Dysart Lyons heritage site up hill to Mass Place road. This had been planned for the summer months, but brought forward to include the removal of all the trees that are currently down following the recent Storm Eowyn. See sample image below re tree overhang on the Blue trail.Effective immediately there will be limited or no access to trails where the harvesting is taking place exclusive of week-ends. More updates as the information becomes available (do ring 087 969 1415 for for further info) See MoreSee Less

IMPORTANT NOTICEThis is to advise that Coillte Harvesting is currently underway very close to sections of our Hiking Trails of RED 5km, BLUE 8km and PURPLE 13km. This is important at this time to remove any dangerous overhanging trees close to our trails post the recent Storm. This work will be taking place for the next 2 to 3 weeks from Mondays to Fridays inclusive. Extreme caution is requested at this time re obeying any temporary signage that will be in place. Evenings after 5pm and Week-ends will be OK but do be careful re extra mud on the trails and roads for duration of the harvesting and removal period. We apologize for any inconvenience caused during this period. Do give this number a buzz should you have any issue or query over the next 2 to 3 weeks: 087 969 1415. See MoreSee Less

TRAİLS RECOVERYFollowing the destruction caused by Storm Eowyn, we are please to announce that our 3 Trails of Red,Blue and Purple are open again. However great care is required as areas of the trails surface are very uneven due to tree rooths exposure. Also some over head branches that will take a little longer to clear. With greatful thanks to our small voluntary team for their great voluntary work in the past few days. Do spread the word that we are back in business, thanks. See MoreSee Less
