Delighted to announce that our voluntary technical team were out early this morning clearing blockage along the trails. This means that on this very nice Sunday its safe to have a hike on the Red and Blue trails. Not so sure about the 13k trail as it will be Tuesday before we get to this. See MoreSee Less

Storm DarraghFriday nights strorm has unearthed some trees in some of the wooded areas along the trails. However it is possible to get around the obstacles. However, there are inherent risks dependent on your fitness levels, so best avoid for the present. We plan to be back to normal by next Wednesday. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. 12 O'Clock Hills
Since the idea of developing hiking trails at the 12 O’Clock Hills was first proposed, many dedicated individuals have worked tirelessly to bring it to fruition. Chief among them is the voluntary group that initiated the project, planning and constructing the walking trails. Their remarkable efforts extended to fundraising, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed financially to make this vision a reality. We must also acknowledge the invaluable support of our local County Councillors. In particular, Joe Cooney has been instrumental, helping us ensure Clare County Council planning permissions were secured from the very beginning of the project in 2012 right through to the present day. For his unwavering commitment, we kindly ask you to consider giving him your number 1 vote this Friday, 29th November, in the General Election.Additionally, we would like to recognise two other individuals who have supported us in important ways. Cathal Crowe, who visited our facility some years ago, assisted us in securing a Community Employment Scheme to maintain and repair the trails. Donna McGettigan Shannon has also been a tremendous help, facilitating the cost-effective provision of trail signage through LCM Signs and working alongside the Shannon Trekkers hiking group to transport heavy furniture to challenging uphill locations.Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the success of the 12 O’Clock Hills project. Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated. See MoreSee Less

Trails Wagon. (Nissan 2005 X-Trail)Our trails wagon which was donated to us by C&M Foods Tulla approx 5yrs ago re voluntary maintenance work on the trails has refused to start for the past few week even-though the battery is fully charged. Local mechanics are all very busy so we are hopeful that some handy person or mechanic using the facility would give it a review to get the engine started. This can be arranged by making a call to Patsy @ 087 969 1415We do have a few bob in the kitty to cover the cost. See MoreSee Less

Please review the attached image re items left behind during recent hikes. These items hanging on the carpark gate entrance were found either in the carpark or on the trails. One looks to be a rather expensive Dog Lead. Owners are requested to collect to avoid disposal. See MoreSee Less
